Jeanine announced the first event which is the Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday running through Sept. 8th. Find the full list of tax-free items at FloridaRevenue.com/disasterprep which will include a complete disaster supply checklist found at FloridaDisaster.org/kit.

Jeanine also mentioned that Kenon Lockery will be performing at Crabby Bill’s on Sept. 1st at 6:00 PM. She said he is a country singer, and he is really good so come out and support him.

Harmony FL September Market Happening At The Harmony Town Square

Kristin then mentioned that the Harmony September Market will take place on Sunday, Sept. 3rd  and will include the regular Farmer’s Market. It will take place at the Harmony Town Square from 10 – 2 PM. The market will have fresh produce, spices, plants, candles, body care, baked goods, nutrition, jewelry, customized items, food trucks and more. Vendor set up is from 6:30 – 9:45 AM and spaces are first come, first serve. You can reach out to harmonyactivitydirector@gmail.com for more information.

Jeanine then gave the next event happening on Sept. 7th called Thrive Thursday which features healthy cooking demos, and the perfect exercise routine. You can find your best path to a healthy and happier you. This event will be sponsored by Help Against Hunger East Osceola. These are free classes that are held on the first Thursday of every month. Pre-registration is encouraged. It takes place at Hopkins Park from 6:30 – 7:30 PM. Kristin then gave the next event which is the Intertwining Roots Community Fair on Sept. 9th from 10 – 2 PM. They will have haircuts, groceries, bingo, dominos, a photo booth, music, vendors, a culinary contest, and door prizes. This event will be held at the Saint Cloud Civic Center. Food and Art Festival on Sept. 15th At The St. Cloud Civic Center

Jeanine then stated the next event will be the Food and Art Festival on Sept. 15th from 5:30 – 9:00 PM in downtown St. Cloud. Vendor positions are free to participate. Examples of what they are looking for but are not limited to are painters, sketch artists, illustrators, impressionists, sculptors, metal artists, etc.

Kristin announced the next event which is sure to be a fun time. It will be Operation Nerf Battle on Sept. 16th from 10 – 12 PM at the St. Cloud Civic Center. You can email parksandrecreation@stcloudfl.gov for more information or call them directly at 407-957-7253.

Jeanine then gave the next event which is an Adult Movie Matinee on Sept. 20th from 12:30 – 2 PM at Community Center. The featured movie will be “Jumper” starring Hayden Christensen and Samuel L. Jackson.

The next event given by Kristin on Sept. 21st is a Meet and Treat with Dr. Mark Shanoff who is the new superintendent of schools for Osceola County. This will be an event for all employees, students, parents, and community members. The times will be from 5-6 PM for employees and 6:15 – 7:15 PM for parents, students, and community members. It will be held at Saint Cloud FL high school.

Fall Day Camps on Sept. 22nd at the St. Cloud Civic Center announced by Jeanine. The cost will be $30 per child and $40 per child for non-city residents. You can register online at StCloudFL.gov or call 407-957-7243 for more information.

Harmony Youth Football and Cheers 2nd Annual Golf Tournament and Fund Raiser

Kristin then gave the next event which is the Harmony Youth Football and Cheers 2nd Annual Golf Tournament and Fund Raiser. This will take place on Sept. 24th at 8:00 AM at St. Cloud Golf Links. Sponsors and golfers will enjoy 18 holes of golf with a cart. Each will have two drink tickets per golfer and there will be golf swag bags for each golfer as well as games and prizes on and off the course. There will be a buffet lunch, refreshments, raffle items, and a silent auction.

Kristin then announced an Adult Lunch & Learn event on suicide prevention on Sept. 27th. Learn the warning signs, risk factors, and effective ways to communicate about suicide. This event will be sponsored by Devoted Health. Reservations are required by Sept. 22nd to ensure everyone receives a meal. The event will be held from 11 – 1 PM at the Marina Banquet Hall. Downtown St. Cloud Monthly Market On Sept. 27th

Jeanine then said the next event would be the Downtown St. Cloud Monthly Market on Sept. 27th. It is always the last Wednesday of every month from 5-9 PM. Come on out and support your local vendors. It is always a good time.
