Now that Christmas is over it is time to focus on the upcoming new year in 2023. Jeanine and Kristin will take you through all the local events in Saint Cloud Florida for the month of January 2023.

Jeanine’s wish in the new year is that her house will be finished being renovated by March 2023. Kristin said her new year’s resolution is to be more positive no matter what life throws at her. She is going to look at everything as a blessing this coming year.

The first event in January 2023 is the Pure Passion Sports Academy on Saturday, January 7th from 9-3 PM. It will take place at 1601 Park Commerce Court Saint Cloud FL 34772. They will present a top 40 basketball showcase that provides basketball players with the chance for professional contracts. Players will be put through a series of workouts designed to show skill level, conditioning, IQ, and work ethic. Players will have a chance to be seen by professional scouts and executives from the NBA.

Also on January 7th is the Christmas Tree Swap event at the Civic Center. This event is free, and it is a chance to repurpose your Christmas tree. Just bring your tree without any decorations to the Civic Center from 9 – 1 PM.

The Three Kings will visit Osceola County at Old Town in Kissimmee on January 8th from 10 – 2 PM. This is in celebration of the Three Kings Day Holiday by Osceola Chamber and its Hispanic Business Council. They will host the 19th annual Three Kings Day of Osceola.

Breakfast with The Pros will take place on Tuesday, January 10th from 8-9 AM at VFW Post 3227. The address is 915 New York Ave in Saint Cloud, FL. This will be a series of informational sessions designed to help grow small businesses.

Functional Medicine And Root Causes Workshop

There will be a Functional Medicine and Root Causes Workshop on Thursday, January 12th from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. There will be a nominal fee of $5.00. It will take place at 313 Commerce Center Drive in Saint Cloud. The workshop will be focused on getting to the root cause of what is behind disease. It will answer the question of what gut health and detox have to do with your health. This will be a 1.5-hour workshop.

Developing literacy and numeracy with children. This is a free event that will take place on Wednesday, January 18th from 6 – 7:30 PM at Ross E. Jeffries Pre-K 1200 Vermont Ave in St. Cloud FL.

Pinktoberfest happens on Saturday, January 21st from 10 – 2 PM at Lakefront Park in St. Cloud FL. The Pink Heels St. Cloud Charter holds this event to help raise awareness and funds for the non-profit support group called The Link Heels. They offer financial and emotional support for individuals and families battling cancer within the St. Cloud community.

If you are interested in helping you can raise money by participating in the truck pull. Each team in the truck pull can have a maximum of 10 people and can raise money for hosting fundraisers, individual sponsors, and corporate fundraisers. To register your team for the truck pull which costs $250 you can contact St. Cloud Parks and Recreation at 407-957-7243.

Central Florida CarFit Training Event

The Central Florida CarFit Training Event will be held on Tuesday, January 24th from 8:30 – 1:00 PM at the Saint Cloud Community Center 3101 17th Street. Safe mobility for life and the city of Saint Cloud are teaming up to host a regional carfit training event. This is a free event.

Experience an informational tour at the Creative Inspiration Journey School Campus on Wednesday, January 25th at 6:00 PM. The address is 2030 Old Hickory Tree Rd in Saint Cloud. The campus will be discussing how they approach the Charter School learning model differently as well as the school’s forthcoming expansion. Go to CIJSStCloud.org for more information.

Rock The Universe at Universal Orlando Resort on January 27th – 29th from 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM each night. This is the biggest Christian Music Festival and for more information check out Universal Orlando Resort.

The St. Cloud Branch faces the future of fundraising breakfast will be held on January 27th. This event is to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida. The breakfast will take place at the Marina Banquet Hall on Lakeshore Blvd in downtown St. Cloud from 7:30 – 8:00 AM.

Harmony Florida Sunday Market On January 8th

The Harmony Sunday Market is on January 8th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. It is a great Sunday market with fresh produce, spices, baked goods, crafts, customized items, body care, candles, nutrition, food trucks, and more.
