Jeanine said today’s podcast is going to be fun as they are going to discuss Christmas traditions. Kristin asked Jeanine what is her favorite Christmas tradition.
Jeanine laughed and said she can’t believe Kristin is putting her on the spot like that. She said that her favorite tradition is Christmas service which is held on Christmas eve. She said that living in Harmony which is part of Saint Cloud Florida and going to Christmas Eve service in the town square and hearing the Christmas message is what she loves.

She asked Kristin what movie made number two. Kristin said the number two Christmas movie was Dr. Suess's How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
Jeanine said the number three watched movie is the Christmas Carol. Coming in at number four is The Polar Express. Jeanine shared that she started a tradition with her grandson where she would set up her living room with chairs and he brought all his stuffed animals. Her grandson had his Polar Express book and Jeanine had tickets and they watched the movie.
The Holiday Is The 6th Most Watched Christmas Movie
The movie Elf came in as the 5th most-watched Christmas movie. Kristin said coming in at number six is The Holiday followed by The Nutcracker and the Four Realms at number eight. Kristin added that the movie Santa Claus came in at number seven and Santa Claus 2 at number nine. Four Christmases came in as the 10th most watched movie during the holidays.

Getting back to the Christmas traditions for families during the holidays, we have coming in at number two is setting up your Christmas tree. Kristin asked Jeanine if she put up a real or fake tree. She said a fake tree and Kristin said she did as well.
Jeanine stated that hanging the mistletoe is the 3rd ranked Christmas tradition. She does not remember ever doing that during the holidays. Kristin disagreed with her mom and remembered her hanging mistletoe in their home growing up.
Jeanine announced the 4th ranked tradition as hosting or joining a Christmas dinner. She said she hosts a family Christmas dinner and they do it early so all her family members can enjoy their own families' Christmas together.
Kristin said the 5th ranked Christmas tradition is baking Christmas cookies and decorating gingerbread houses. She said Jeanine did that for her girls and they love it.
Jeanine said coming in as the seventh-ranked Christmas tradition is the exchanging of gifts, secret Santa, and white elephant gifts. She said part of the season is giving which is always nice.
Sending Out Christmas Cards Is The 8th Ranked Christmas Tradition
Kristin shared that sending out Christmas cards came in as the 8th-ranked Christmas tradition. Jeanine said she hasn’t done them in years but that she does send out cards at Thanksgiving.
Jeanine stated that Elf on a Shelf is the 9th-ranked Christmas tradition. Kristin said since they moved into their new home, she doesn’t know where their Elf is so he won’t be making an appearance this Christmas.
Jeanine asked Kristin what she had for the 10th-ranked Christmas tradition. Kristin replied that it is listening to Christmas songs and going caroling. She added that there are a group of Harmony residents that go out caroling together on December 22nd she believes.
