Jeanine is joined by her co-host Kristin Macari owner of Studio Nine 13. Welcome to the 15th episode of Discover St. Cloud Florida. Kristin started with the fact that it is the spring season and there are so many fun events going on with Easter and spring flings.

Jeanine kicked off local events in St. Cloud Florida with the Adult Nutrition Class happening on Thursday, April 7th from 10-11 am and then again from 6-7 pm for people who are working. This class will be held at Hopkins Park on 620 E. 17th Street.

Kristin was talking about how much she dislikes cooking and meal planning and how she would rather just order out. Jeanine mentioned how she would like to have a chef cook her meals and she admits that they eat out too much. The Adult Moonlight Egg Hunt takes place on Friday, April 8th and you must be 21 years of age or older as there will be alcohol served. This will be held at The Ranch at St. Cloud from 7-10 pm. Admission will be $15 per person which comes with a DJ and dancing, food, and drinks available for purchase, candy-filled eggs, and prizes. Bring your bug spray and flashlight.

Bluegrass Jam At The Peghorn Nature Park In St. Cloud FL

The Sponge Bob Musical will be on April 8th, 9th, and 15th at 7:00 PM and then April 10th and 16th at 2:00 PM. This will be held at St. Cloud high School. Tickets will be $8 for students, $15 for adults, and $10 for seniors. Kristin said that St. Cloud high school has a good theater program and they always put on cool productions.

The Bluegrass Jam will be happening on Saturday, April 9th at Peghorn Nature Park from 11 – 1 pm. Come out and listen to the live acoustic bluegrass music inside St. Cloud’s historic cannery. Sounds like an enjoyable time if you like bluegrass music.

Jeanine wanted to remind people of the monthly blood bank at the Saint Cloud Community Center being held on Wednesday, April 13th from 2-7 pm. They will be providing a free steak dinner for those who attend and give blood. Corcoran Connect will be sponsoring the free steak dinner along with the IOOF. Jeanine asked what IOOF stood for? Kristin answered that it stands for the Independent Order of Old Fellows and lodge #66 in St. Cloud, FL.

The Easter Egg Extravaganza takes place on Saturday, April 16th at the St. Cloud Community Center and will be $5 per person accepting cash only. The ages are 3-12 years old. There will be an easter egg hunt, crafts, games, vendors and food trucks, an ice cream truck, and a bounce house from 11-1 pm.

An Adult Movie Matinee Showing At The St. Cloud Community Center

Next is the Adult Movie Matinee on Wednesday, April 20th from 12:30 – 2:30 pm. The movie is The Magic of Belle Isle starring Morgan Freeman and Virginia Madsen. It’s rated PG and will be shown at the St. Cloud Community Center. This local event is free for 18 year old’s or older.

There is another event for adults. An adult trip to Wachee Spring State Park happening on Thursday, April 21st. Everyone will meet at the St. Cloud Community center at 6:30 am and return at 7:00 pm. The cost is $65 per person. This fee includes round trip transportation, admission to the park, wilderness river cruise, ranger and mermaid shows, and a goodie bag. Pre-registration is required for this event.

A fishing derby will be held on Saturday, April 23rd on Budinger Ave which is across from the St. Cloud Elementary school. There will be a $10 fee per person. It will be shore fishing only and you need to bring your own fishing pole. The bait will be provided for you. There will be several age groups starting with the “tadpoles” for 3-5 years old, half-pints from 6-8 years old, and minnows from 9 – 12 years old.

An Earth Day event will be taking place on Saturday, April 23rd from 11 – 2 pm at Peghorn Nature Park. Part of the festivities will have everyone helping to clean up the park. There will have environmental exhibitors, crafts, live music, giveaways, and food trucks. It should be a fun time for all.

Fitness Awareness Event At The Marina Banquet Hall

Next, we have a lunch and learn fitness awareness event on Wednesday, April 27th from 11 – 1 pm at the Marina Banquet hall. They will be talking about the various ways you can stay active and increase your fitness levels. It is sponsored by Humana and registration is required to ensure everyone has a meal. The cost is only $1.00 per person.

Jeanine reminded us about the St. Cloud downtown monthly market taking place on Wednesday, April 27th from 5 – 9 pm. The list of vendors is growing as well as the people attending such a great event.

There will be an additional adult nutrition class held on Thursday, May 5th from 10-11 am and then from 6-7 pm. This event will be free and will be located at 620 E. 17th Street in St. Cloud.

Discover St. Cloud Florida Helping To Raise The Awareness Of Community Members On Local Events

Saint Cloud will be hosting many local events in April. This is small-town living done in a big way with many fantastic events for everyone to enjoy!

Jeanine believes that there are many people in St. Cloud that are unaware of all the wonderful events happening in their community.
