St. Cloud Florida School Spring Break 2022 Happenings Is Highlighted By Jeanine Corcoran
Jeanine is the broker for The Corcoran Connection which is a real estate company. Jeanine is joined by her co-host Kristin Macari owner of Studio Nine 13. Welcome to the 12th episode of Discover St. Cloud Florida.
Kristin started off by saying everyone is getting ready for spring break in Osceola County Florida and asked Jeanine what are the dates? Jeanine replied that the St. Cloud school spring break 2002 is March 11th through the 18th and the students go back to school on Monday, March 24th.
Jeanine added that the dates are the same across Osceola County which makes it easy for everyone. Kristin said that they thought it would be a great idea to talk about some of the things people can do during spring break. There are a lot of people who don’t like to travel far so this is for you!
Kristin asked Jeanine what are her favorite things to do for spring break? Jeanine replied that besides St. Cloud, we are in a great location being so close to Disneyworld and all the Parks. Jeanine started with Wild Florida Safari Drive-Thru Park. Her grandson calls this park, Africa because of all the wild animals that they have in the park. At the end of the drive-through, there is an opportunity to feed the giraffes. The park is close to St. Cloud located in Kenansville, FL.
Reptile World Serpentarium In St. Cloud Florida
Another wonderful place that Jeanine mentioned to take the kids is the Reptile World Serpentarium. It is a reptile zoo in St. Cloud, Florida. It features more than 75 species of snakes, as well as lizards, crocodiles, alligators, and turtles. It is operated by the herpetologist George Van Horn.
They also happen to provide a large amount of anti-venom nationally. Kristin added that if you have never been, you must go at least once. They milk the snakes and take their venom right in front of you. It also happens to be inexpensive and highly educational. They have been around since the 1970s.
Jeanine then brought up the Airboat rides. You have Marsh Landing Adventures on Neptune Rd in Kissimmee, Florida. It is a lot of fun to take these rides and see the gators. This makes for a great day trip for the people who are not leaving the area.
Jeanine asked Kristin if she and her family were traveling anywhere for spring break, and she said not. She is not a fan of going where a lot of people are going. Kristin likes to go to Treasure Island on the West Coast of Florida where the water is a little warmer, the sunsets are amazing, and the beaches have that powdery sand.
Jeanine mentioned WonderWorks on International Drive in Orlando. They have all kinds of activities for the kids including laser tag. The facility is huge it would be easy to spend a day there with the kids.
Swimming With The Dolphins Is A Once In A Lifetime Experience At Discovery Cove In Orlando, FL
Then, of course, you have big names like Disneyworld, and they have two waterparks themselves called Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. If you go to SeaWorld, they have Discovery Cove where you can also swim with the Dolphins there. That is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You also have Aquatica water park which is a part of SeaWorld.
Kristin then added Volcano Bay which is a water park and part of Universal Studios. This is her new favorite place to visit as her kids love it. Jeanine asked if it was better than the two water parks at Disneyworld and Kristin said she thinks her kids like it there probably because it is newer.
Kristin also brought up Florida residents who have Theme Park passes which makes it easy to visit for a few hours as often as you like. Jeanine mentioned that they offer Florida residents specials throughout the year as well on the park passes for the family.
Jeanine said that all these places she and Kristin mentioned are great for the kids during St. Cloud Florida school spring break 2022. Jeanine said that there is plenty to do here locally if you are not planning on traveling for spring break.
Barbara Corcoran Will Be A Guest On Discover St. Cloud’s Upcoming Podcast
Once spring break is over, there is what’s called “Battle at Narcoossee Mill”. That event is held on March 26th and 27th. It’s starts on Saturday the 26th at 10:00 AM. Jeanine stated that there is a lot of history to take in there and it’s a wonderful experience and educational as well. Kristin added that it is a reenactment of the battle at Narcoossee Mill and if you are new to the area, it is something that you want to check out and experience.
Kristin announced that in a couple of weeks that she and Jeanine will be having a special guest on the Discover St. Cloud Florida podcast. Kristin asked Jeanine who that guest might be? Jeanine said that it is going to be her sister, Barbara Corcoran.
