Buck Lake In Harmony FL

Have You Been To Buck Lake in Harmony, FL?

Buck Lake in Harmony, Fl is the larger one of two natural and protected lakes in this residential oasis. In a new video for Love Harmony, Florida, Harmony resident, and The Corcoran Connection founder Jeanine Corcoran takes you on a virtual tour of this pristine beauty.

Love Harmony, Florida is an online series that highlights the perks of living in this charming Central Florida community. One of these perks is the Buck Lake.

Encompassing nearly 511 acres, it is nearly one mile to the opposing shoreline. There are fishing piers, pontoon boats, kayaks, and canoes. Residents can enjoy exclusive access to Harmony boats to explore the lake. Here, only low-speed boats are allowed. This is to preserve the lake’s natural features and ensure that any activity will not be disruptive.

Families and friends can also spend quality time outdoors at the Buck Lake campground. It has group camping facilities and is a popular venue for outdoor events and private gatherings.

Did you know that Harmony is part of the Kissimmee River watershed? Buck Lake drains to Alligator Lake. Cat Lake, on the other hand, takes a “more circuitous route” through Lake Conlin and Lake Lizzie before also ending up in Alligator Lake. Both Buck and Cat Lakes form part of the northern boundary of the district.

Cat Lake is not accessible to the public. But there are nearby picnic areas and a wedding location for couples who want a gorgeous outdoor venue.

Green Living At Its Best

If you prefer long and quiet walks, you will enjoy Harmony’s 12.5 miles of walking trails. Many of these go through stunning nature preserves.

Every residence in this community has a nearby park so it is always easy, and safe, to go out for a quick jog or to ride a bicycle. The biggest park, Lakeshore Park, stretches along the south shore of Buck Lake. It has everything you need for a fun and active day out—playground, soccer field, basketball and shuffleboard courts, splash pad, and sand volleyball area.

Of course, no dog will be left behind. There is also an assigned dog park with a dog wash.

For those with a green thumb, Harmony has a community garden where you can grow your own produce. It is an eco-friendly way to bond with neighbors and save money on pre-packed fruits and vegetables.
