Amazing Animals Inc. was founded in 2009 as a federally licensed 501(c)(3) organization. The founder, Jennifer Johnson, had a passion for animals and decided to do her part to save them. She began with thirty reptiles in her central Florida home, and she taught the community about conservation and animal care. Then, after raising funds for the care of her reptiles, she was called upon to take in five birds. Thus, the nonprofit organization has evolved into a bird and reptile rescue facility.

The sanctuary is a destination for thousands of visitors a year, including celebrities, royalty, and celebrities.
